Trustees and Key Members

Trustees

Our trustees

TAPA is led by a trustee group responsible for the charity’s governance, funds and decision making.

The current key trustee roles are:

Lauren Nahal-Macdonald
Chairperson

Isabel Paice
Secretary

Nicola Little
Treasurer

What trustees do

The trustees are responsible for making sure TAPA is run properly, legally and in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.

This includes:

  • ensuring TAPA carries out its charitable purpose
  • making responsible decisions about funds and resources
  • keeping proper records and accounts
  • managing risks and conflicts of interest
  • supporting volunteers and committee members
  • ensuring TAPA remains accountable to parents, the school and the Charity Commission

Our commitment

We want TAPA to be open, responsible and easy to understand. That means being clear about what we do, how decisions are made and how parents can contribute.

The trustees also play an important role in helping TAPA become more visible, structured and sustainable. This includes supporting a clear events calendar, building broader parent participation, strengthening our partnership with the school and ensuring funds are used in a way that delivers meaningful impact.

Key Members

Committee and volunteer roles

TAPA is only possible because parents volunteer their time. Some roles are formal trustee roles, while others support events, shops, fundraising, communications or year group coordination.

We know that not everyone can commit to a large role. One of our priorities is to make volunteering feel easier and more flexible, so more parents can contribute in a way that works for them. TAPA works best when many people do something, rather than a small number of people doing everything.

Key roles include:

Chairperson
Leads TAPA, chairs meetings, helps coordinate fundraising activity, works with the school on event planning and supports decisions on how funds are allocated.

Secretary
Supports governance, meeting agendas, minutes, communications and record keeping.

Treasurer
Manages the charity’s finances, supports reporting, monitors income and expenditure, and helps ensure funds are used responsibly.

Class representatives
Help connect each year group with TAPA, share updates, encourage involvement and raise feedback from parents.

Event volunteers
Support the planning and delivery of individual events, from fireworks and the Christmas market to the Spring Gala, Easter activities, Sports Day support and summer celebrations.

Coffee shop volunteers
Help run Collins’ Coffee Shop, creating a welcoming space for parents while also generating income for TAPA.

Brummels volunteers
Support the second hand uniform shop, helping families access pre loved uniform while raising funds for the charity.

How to get involved

You do not need to take on a big role to make a difference. TAPA works best when lots of people contribute in small, manageable ways.

You could:

  • help at an event
  • join a planning group
  • volunteer in Collins’ Coffee Shop
  • support Brummels
  • suggest a fundraising idea
  • sponsor an event
  • offer a skill, contact or local business link
  • become a class representative
  • come to a meeting and listen in

Every contribution helps.
