Funds How we raise funds

TAPA raises funds through events, donations, sponsorship, and profits from Collins’ Coffee Shop and Brummels, our second hand uniform shop.

All of this is made possible by parent volunteers who give their time, ideas and energy to support the school community.

How funds are used

Funds are used to support projects that improve school life and benefit pupils. In recent years, TAPA has funded or contributed towards:

School facilities and outdoor spaces
Including play areas, picnic benches, outdoor equipment and garden related improvements.

Learning and enrichment resources
Including IT resources such as VR headsets and equipment that supports pupil experience.

Community spaces
Including coffee shop improvements, flooring and equipment.

School wide equipment
Including a new school PA system and AV equipment.

Wider charitable support
Including a donation to the GLF Schools’ Foundation, helping young people access opportunities and experiences regardless of financial background.

Our approach to funding decisions

We want funding decisions to be thoughtful, transparent and aligned to TAPA’s purpose.

When considering how funds are used, we look for projects that:

  • benefit children across the school
  • strengthen school life or the wider community experience
  • support education, wellbeing or enrichment
  • make a clear and lasting difference
  • represent responsible use of charity funds

We also want parents to feel able to suggest ideas. Not every idea can be funded, but every idea can help build a better view of what matters to families.

Making our impact visible

One of TAPA’s priorities is to make it much clearer what parent fundraising makes possible.

We want families to be able to see the difference their support has made, whether that is through new equipment, improved spaces, community events or wider school enhancements. This means sharing clearer updates, celebrating completed projects and making sure TAPA’s contribution is visible when funds are used.

Our aim is for parents to feel proud of what they have helped create and confident that funds are being used thoughtfully, responsibly and for the benefit of the children.
