What was your path to Teaching?

I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I have such fond memories of my own school life, particularly influenced by a wonderful Year 1 teacher who I remember always playing her guitar. She even ended up being one of my teacher training practitioners many years later!

I worked as a Teaching Assistant in my gap year before attending university, where I studied Primary Education with a specialist pathway of Special Educational Needs.

My favourite subject is art and I really enjoy problem solving and STEAM challenges. 

What is your favourite thing about Aberdour?

The nurturing family atmosphere makes it a very special place to work.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially taking my son to Forest School. Swimming and reading are my favourite hobbies. I have been known to try the odd adventure sport too, including bungee jumping! 

What is your brilliance?

My brilliance is cooking.
