Robotics Team

11 January 2011

Early in December the Aberdour Robotics Team set off to London to participate in the first Lego League challenge. Fourteen teams were due to participate and all but two made it to the event despite the snow that had recently fallen. Our pupils had a busy but very enjoyable day. There were three robot matches against other schools in which the team's robot had to attempt a number of challenges. They also had to discuss their work with a number of technical experts to explain how the robots were designed and programmed. Finally the team had to give a presentation to a panel of judges about a related project that they had been working on.

All members of the team approached the day with a excellent attitude and were a credit to the school.

Well done to Ben Harries, James Grimstone, Jordan Halley-Murray, Rohan Lad and Yvette Murphy

The team would also like to thank Mr. Harries and Mr. Tennant who both helped greatly in the weeks leading up to the competition.
