Parents' Association

The Work of the PA

Aberdour Parents’ Association is a registered charity which exists to provide a social and fundraising body, fostering the atmosphere of community amongst the parents and raising valuable additional funds along the way.

Working through this Association, the parents have collectively made significant contributions to the life and facilities of the school, from equipment such as the projector system and white boards, to our fabulous Coffee Shop. All efforts are very much appreciated, whether at Class Rep level, or just by supporting the various events, and all ideas will continue to be gratefully received.

 

 

OZ BBQ & Wine Tasting

 

The weather was kind, good company arrived, Kylie and Jason were singing, the wine flowed and so did the lager!

Wine expert, Stephen of Essentially Wine, took us walkabout around the Aussie vineyards. He showed how to appraise and appreciate a selection of fine wines from the land down under. The volume of noise from the participants rose with every drop downed. The informative tasting was followed by a bonza BBQ outside until the light began to fade......it was after dark when taxis finally arrived to take the tipsy tasters home.

We had over 60 parents join us for the evening's merriment and a good night was had by all.

A big thank you goes to the PA's very own sheilas - Helen Long and Nicola Murray for organising this wonderful evening.

 

 

MS Cake Break

 

Thank you to all those of you who came along and joined us for a Coffee, Cake n' Catch Up in aid of the MS Society at the Coffee Shop. We had a wonderful array of items from Moody Tom, Usborne Books, Phoenix Cards and Gill Spicer's Original Glass Art for homes and gardens to tempt all tastes. There were scrumptious homemade cakes and biscuits donated by many Aberdour parents. As ever those of you who came along gave very generously to this worthy cause.
