OVER THE FALLS

I interviewed Chris Thomas about his visit to Niagra Falls in September 1991.

Chris decided to go to Niagra Falls because he was in America and wanted to go to Canada to see the world's mosr famous waterfall.

Chris was on a boat called the Maid of the Mist. He had to wear a bright blue coat to protect him from the spray that came off the rocks at the bottom. He went behind the waterfall, he said "it was extremely loud".

Chris learnt lots of things. He learnt that a long time ago men went over the Falls in a barrel. One of them was the first man to swim the English Channel.

At night it was very dark but Chris liked it because different coloured lights were shone on the Falls which made it pretty and exciting

BABY JOSEPH BEING BORN

I interviewed Debbie about bringing a baby into the world in 2002.

On the day Joseph was born Debbie was having dinner when she suddenly felt tummy pains. She knw her baby was on the way. Later that night she gave birth.

After Joseph was born Debbie fed Joseph. She wrapped  him up in a white blanket. Debbie didn't get much sleep.

RAINY RIDES

Keerti Sethia was interviewed on a trip to Euro Disney.

The weather was terrible but Keerti's children enjoyed their time there.

Keerti's favourite ride was the Flying Carpets because she could hold her babies and scream in their ears. The hotel room was luxurious, dreamy spacious and comfortable. The kids could run around freely in the room

The hotel was lovely but the food was lousy. When Keerti entered the room she thought she was in a fairytale palace.

The weather was miserable, wet and windy. Keerti's kids had a good time.  Keerti commented " I felt the trip was over priced so it is highly unlikely I will go again".

 SENSES POETRY

'Surprise'

By William Jackson

Surprise is indigo

It tastes tangy and sour

It smells like pineapple and sugar

It looks like fire

It sounds like buzzing bees

Surprise shocks you like a tazer

'Hate'

By Katie Simmonds

Hate is red

It smells like fire

It tastes like burning chillies

It looks like my brother

It sounds like screaming ghosts

Hate feels like your dreams being smashed

'Love'

By Ilaria Pucket

Love is like red fire in your heart, warming you

It tastes like melting chocolate

It smells like a red rose beginning to open

It looks like a warm smile

It sounds like music

Love is happiness

Dear Miss Midsummer,

I am writing to you because I have no one else to turn to and I'm desperate for advice. You see, I'm in love with Hermia and she loves Lysander who is my best friend. I love Hermia so much that I will kill Lysander for her.

My main problem is that Hermia and Lysander are planning to run away with each other and that means I will never see her again and I will be stuck with Helena.

At the moment I am planning to kill Lysander and not tell anyone so Hermia will come into my arms. Do you think I am doing the right thing or is there another solution?

Yours in Desperation
